The rumored successor to the Redmi Note series, i.e., Redmi Note 5 finally have a release date to its name and its launching sooner than expected.
Xiaomi has been quickly launching phone after phone in the past few months, and it looks, like, they are not in the mood to slow down.
The Redmi Note 5 have been a part of many rumors and leaks in the past, but the device just featured on a popular Chinese certification site which gives us a good idea that the release date of the device is very near.
Redmi Note 5 Release Date
If rumors are to believed, then the Redmi Note 5 would make its debut in the month of August in China first and would be released in India next after a period of 2-3 months.
It would also be interesting to see which variant of the device will be available for the rest of the world.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-core Variant
- MediaTek Helio x25 Deca-core Variant
Also, the availability of the phone in the West remains questionable, but as always you can import the device via various E-commerce websites.
There is a little possibility that even the Mediatek version will be available in other countries this time, but this seems very far-fetched at this stage.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 when launched will be in direct competition with the likes of Galaxy J7 2017, Moto G5, and other mid-range smartphones.
It would be kind of interesting to see how the 5th generation successor to the hugely popular Redmi Note series performs against these devices and whether it would be able to beat the competition or not.
The only con of the Redmi Note series has been the Flash sales and the fact that these phones are so hard to buy.
Xiaomi would have to counter this problem and make sure that buyers do not face any such problem this time.
Redmi Note 5 Release Date – 17 August 2017
